St. Clair West at Keele St. (Cow)
Toronto

As part of the City’s StreetARToronto program, Rosalie Lam was commissioned to complete two paintings on traffic signal boxes in Toronto. Cow sits at the busy intersection of St. Clair West and Keele St., pointing to the area’s former use as a stockyard. Candy Jar sits outside a café across the street from Artscape Youngplace: a white squirrel at its base alludes to the legendary mascot of nearby Trinity Bellwoods Park. The work at both locations was completed on-site by the artist.
